Culinary Escapade is going bilingual. I live in a city where the majority of people are bilingual, speaking both English and French. Most of us are comfortable switching back and forth in both languages. In fact in my household, it is not uncommon to hear what we call “franglais”. I would start a sentence in English, toss some French in the middle and finish in English. Sometimes I can switch back several times before I finish what I was saying.
A colleague of mine, J-B mentioned that I should think about blogging in both languages. Granted it would be a little more time consumming but it will allow me to share my love of cooking and all things food with a wider audience. As a bonus, I get to pratice my written French. I have not written in French since forever and a day, so be gentle about my grammatical and syntax errors.
Over the coming weeks, I will be slowly translating my various posts. Due to time contraints, I will always post in English first and the French will follow. If I have time I will do it all at once. If not the French will follow in a few days. The translation will not necessarily be perfect, but I am sure people will get what I mean.
Cheers!

Hey Judy,
You should put the Quebec’s flag instead of France, no offense France…
I was tempting to translate my blog to French too, but it is very time consuming. English like in science is the main language of communication, so I didn’t bother to write it in French.
@Victor – I did think about using the Quebec flag, but then I thought the French flag was a little more universal and more people would recognize it. I agree it is definitely time consuming, but it is practice
