
This post has nothing to do with cooking. At least not the kind of cooking you would be eating. If you were wondering why my posting has been so infrequent, wonder know more. I have been cooking up a new look for CE.
The previous site was one of my first attempts at a WordPress theme. It was an experimentation of sorts, but I realised with time that it was not very food blog friendly. It was gimmicky and not very reader friendly. Not to mention, I had to make my pictures small in order to make them fit on the home page.
I went with a more traditional layout this time around, improved the typography and line heights to make reading easier. I have been debating whether to blur the background a little to the text jump out more, but if I did that I would lose the stylized peppercorns’ detail.
There is still tweaking going on in the back end, but I figured it was good enough to roll out now. As usual, I welcome feedback. What do you guys think?

@djou – really it said that? I’ve never seen that. Maybe it has to do with the SPAM plugin I put in. I’ll have to look at the settings.
